Philippians 4:10-13

In this passage, Paul is telling us that he has learned to be happy, no matter his circumstances. Paul had learned to draw his contentment from the Lord and not from what is going on around him.

Contentment is the ability to maintain a spiritual balance in the midst of both favorable and unfavorable circumstances. When you are content, neither prosperity nor adversity throws you off. If you're not content with what you have, you won't be content with what you get.

Philippians. 4:12

We can live in contentment when we have abundance and when we have humble means. Base your equilibrium on God, no matter where you find yourself!

1 Timothy 6:5-6

Godliness is a means of great gain – Godliness is a mega-provider! We are connected to the source of all resource! We can be centered enough to have mega provision and stay on course with God.

1 Timothy 6:7

It's not what you collect, but what you deposit that really matters This entire life is a training grounds for eternity. You can send things ahead but you can't carry any of it with you.

1 Timothy 6:8-9

If we get a single eye toward the acquisition of riches then it becomes a priority in our value system. It can be easy to awaken desires that are destructive to us.

1 Timothy 6:10

Notice, of course, it's not money but the love of money that’s the problem here. You can love money at all economic levels. I would even contend that the love of money can consume someone with hardly any money just as much or more than someone with money.

Consider whether you have a love of money. Are you jealous of others’ prosperity? Do you chafe at the call to tithe or give? Do you constantly worry about money?

Hebrews 13:6

We have the promise of God's help, support and presence that gives true contentment. Overcome worry and anxiety with the understanding that God will take care of you!
